When we Talk about La Tomatina Festival, You see food fights in movies and drama, but have you been part of an actual one? At La Tomatina Festival, you get to live this food fight scene, but with tomatoes.
Notoriously known as Spain’s messiest festival, La Tomatina Festival is held in the town of Bunol, east of Spain, and brings in around 40,000 participants every year.
A few trucks will enter this Valencian town, carrying a massive amount of tomatoes, and once the tomatoes drop to the ground, the food-fighting begins. Best part is, this tomato-throwing parade is purely for entertainment purposes. It is not every day that you get a chance to actually throw things at people and get away with it. Usually mashed or crushed, these tomatoes would not hurt. And if you’re worried that it is wasting food, these tomatoes are the ones that are likely never to be eaten – over-ripe, low quality, and has inferior taste.
